  • 500g (1.1 lb) chicken mince
  • 1 small pear (peeled and grated)
  • 1 small apple (peeled and grated)
  • 40g (¾ cup) breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp milk (optional)
  • Fresh parsley
  • Smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Sauté onion and carrot in olive oil over low heat until soft.
  3. Mix milk with breadcrumbs in a bowl; let sit.
  4. Squeeze juice from grated apple and pear into a cloth; reserve juice.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken; add chicken last and mix gently.
  6. Shape tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the baking tray.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
