  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 16 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup marshmallows (for the marshmallow mixture)
  • Chai spices: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, allspice, cloves

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish and sprinkle half of a powdered sugar-cornstarch mixture on the bottom.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine gelatin with cold water. In a saucepan, mix remaining water, sugar, honey, and salt; heat until 240°F.
  3. Pour hot mixture into gelatin while mixing on low speed until thick. Add vanilla and spices; mix well.
  4. Transfer to the prepared dish and sprinkle the top with more powdered sugar mixture. Let sit for at least 6 hours.
  5. Cut into squares and prepare the Rice Krispie mixture by melting butter with marshmallows until smooth.
  6. Combine melted marshmallow with Rice Krispies in a large bowl and press into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
