  • ½ lb medium pasta shells
  • 3 ½ cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 ¼ cups half and half
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon juice, salt, and various dried herbs (onion powder, thyme, oregano, parsley)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by measuring and chopping the broccoli into small pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth, half and half, onion powder, thyme, salt, oregano, and parsley. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a boil and add the pasta. Cook as per package instructions for al dente texture.
  5. During the last six minutes of cooking, add in the broccoli florets.
  6. Once cooked to your liking, stir in lemon juice and grated Parmesan cheese until well mixed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
